NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS ENTERING INDONESIA
(as of 6 July 2021)

Due to the increased of imported cases of transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 and SARSCoV-2 new variants, namely, the Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Gamma variants that are developing, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia has made regulatory adjustment through the Addendum to the National Task Force for COVID-19 Handling Circular Letter Number 8 Year 2021 concerning International Travel Health Protocols during the COVID-19 Pandemic (SE-08 Addendum) with adding new and additional provisions for foreign nationals to enter Indonesia as follows:

  1. All foreign nationals entering the territory of the Republic of Indonesia are required to show a COVID-19 vaccination certificate or vaccination card (in physical form or digital form) as proof of completing vaccination in full dose.
  2. Foreign nationals shall undertake quarantine of 8 x 24 hours at the list of accommodations Certified by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia upon independent choosing, with cost-burdened independently.
  3. After the 8 x 24 hours mandatory quarantine and negative PCR test results, all international travellers are encouraged to undertake self-isolation at their respective residence up until a total of 14 days after arrival in Indonesia.
  4. RT-PCR test 7 x 24 hours after arrival/before terminating 8 x 24 hours mandatory quarantine period.

As for other provisions stated in the COVID-19 Task Force Circular No. 8 of 2021 are still valid, among others:

  1. RT-PCR health test requirements for foreign nationals travelling from abroad are as follow:

        - 3 x 24 hours before departure to Indonesia; and
        - 1 x 24 hours after arrival in Indonesia.

  1. The provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 26 of 2020 concerning Visa and Stay Permit During the New Normal Adaptation Period for applying Indonesian visa.

Notes:

  1. Children under the age of 12 and travelling with their parents are exempted from the requirement to show COVID-19 vaccination certificate or vaccination card.
  2. Foreign nationals that are unable to be vaccinated due to medical reasons are exempted from the requirement to show COVID-19 vaccination certificate or vaccination card but will be required to provide recommendation letters from a specialist doctor and other support data.

KETENTUAN BARU BAGI WNI UNTUK MASUK KE INDONESIA
(as of 6 July 2021)

Sehubungan dengan meningkatnya kasus penularan varian baru SARS-CoV-2 dan SARSCoV-2 yaitu varian Alpha, Beta, Delta, dan Gamma yang berkembang, Pemerintah Republik Indonesia melakukan penyesuaian regulasi melalui Addendum Surat Edaran Satuan Tugas Nasional Penanganan COVID-19 Nomor Tahun 2021 tentang Protokol Kesehatan Perjalanan Internasional pada Masa Pandemi COVID-19 (Addendum SE 8) dengan menambahkan ketentuan baru dan tambahan bagi WNI yang melakukan perjalanan internasional untuk masuk ke  Indonesia antara lain:

  1. WNI yang masuk ke Indonesia wajib menunjukkan:

- Bukti tes PCR dengan hasil negatif 3 X 24 jam sebelum keberangkatan;
- Bukti vaksin dosis lengkap (berupa fisik atau digital) tanpa pembatasan terhadap merek vaksin yang digunakan.

  1. WNI yang belum divaksin tetap dapat memasuki wilayah Indonesia dan harus mengikuti program vaksinasi setelah tes PCR kedua di tempat karantina dengan hasil negatif.
  2. Durasi karantina pada saat ketibaan di Indonesia kini adalah 8 X 24 jam.
  3. Tes PCR akan dilaksanakan dua kali sebagai berikut: tes pertama PCR dilaksanakan 1 X 24 setelah ketibaan di Indonesia dan tes kedua akan dilaksanakan pada hari ke-7 sebelum berakhirnya masa karantina 8 X 24 jam.
  4. Setelah selesai masa isolasi selama 8 x 24 jam dan dinyatakan negatif, maka semua pelaku perjalanan internasional tetap diimbau untuk melakukan isolasi secara mandiri di rumah masing-masing hingga 14 (empat belas) hari terhitung sejak tanggal ketibaan di Republik Indonesia.
