Update regarding the closure of Indonesia's international borders
Due to the development regarding the rapid transmission rate of the SARSCoV-2 and SARS-CoV-2 variant B117 Virus at a relatively short time during the transition period from the year 2020 to the New Year 2021, the National Task Force for COVID-19 Handling has issued the Circular Letter Number 4 Year 2020 regarding restrictions on entering Indonesia from the period 1-14 January 2021.

Presiden Joko Widodo, pada tanggal 3 Agustus 2017, telah menandatangani Peraturan Presiden (Perpres) Nomor 76 Tahun 2017 tentang Fasilitas Bagi Masyarakat Indonesia di Luar Negeri.
Dijelaskan, pada pertimbangan Perpres, bahwa dalam rangka memberdayakan dan meningkatkan peran masyarakat Indonesia di luar negeri secara aktif dalam kegiatan perekonomian, sosial, dan budaya, maka pemerintah memandang perlu diberikan suatu fasilitas yang memadai.
PENGUMUMAN
Dengan ini diinformasikan kepada seluruh Warga Negara Indonesia bahwa Pemerintah Indonesia telah menerapkan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Keimigrasian (SIMKIM) pada seluruh Perwakilan RI di Australia. pada hari Jumat, tanggal 2 Juni 2017.

TRAVEL RESTRICTION FOR FOREIGNERS
INTO INDONESIA
As part of the preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia and adjustment to the “new normal”, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia has introduced new Visitor and Temporary Stay visa provisions under the Regulation of Minister of Law and Human Rights No. 26 the Year 2020 regarding Visa and Stay Permit in the New Normal which stipulates among others:
a. Official Visa;
b. Diplomatic Visa;
c. Visitor Visa;
d. Temporary Stay Visa;
e. Official Stay Permit;
f. Diplomatic Stay Permit;
g. Temporary Stay Permit; and
h. Permanent Stay Permit;
Application of Visitor and Temporary Stay Visa
a. an emergency and essential work;
b. a business meeting;
c. purchase of goods;
d. a probationary period of foreign workers;
e. a medical, food, and humanitarian aid worker; and
f. a crew member who joins the vessel in Indonesia.
