Permintaan surat keterangan penelitian di Indonesia dari Atdikbud diajukan sebagai salah satu persyaratan bagi WNA dalam mengajukan Foreign Research Permit (FRP) kepada Kemenristekdikti untuk melakukanpenelitian di Indonesia.
Adapun syarat-syarat untuk surat keterangan penelitian di Indonesia, yaitu :
Surat Permohonan kepada Atase Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Luar Negeri
Hasil scan proposal riset/research proposal (meliputi informasi mengenai tujuan, durasi, lokasi, itinerary, dan mitra selama penelitian)
Hasil scan paspor, halaman pertama dan halaman yang menyatakan masa berlaku paspor
Hasil scan surat rekomendasi dari institusi ybs
Hasil scan surat rekomendasi/guarantee letter dari institusi mitra/partner di Indonesia
Semua dokumen persyaratan discan jelas dalam bentuk file .pdf

As part of the preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia and adjustment to the “new normal”, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia has introduced newVisitor and Temporary Stay visa provisions underthe Regulation of Minister of Law and Human Rights No. 26 the Year 2020 regarding Visa and Stay Permit in the New Normal which stipulates among others:
Temporary suspension on Free Visa/Visa Exemption and Visa on Arrival until the COVID-19 pandemic is declared over by the ministry or agency responsible for the mitigation of the COVID-19 Outbreak.
Foreign nationals holding a legal and valid Visa and/or Stay Permit will be allowed to enter the Indonesian Territory through designated Immigration Border Controls after undergoing the health protocol procedure. The Visa and/or Stay Permit referred to consist of:
a. Official Visa;
b. Diplomatic Visa;
c. Visitor Visa;
d. Temporary Stay Visa;
e. Official Stay Permit;
f. Diplomatic Stay Permit;
g. Temporary Stay Permit; and
h. Permanent Stay Permit;
In addition to foreign nationals holding Visa and/or Stay Permit as referred to above, crew member arriving by their transports and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Travel Cardholder will also be allowed to enter Indonesia after undergoing the health protocol procedure.
Application of Visitor and Temporary Stay Visa
Visitor Visa is a single-entry Visitor Visa for the following purposes:
a. an emergency and essential work;
b. a business meeting;
c. purchase of goods;
d. a probationary period of foreign workers;
e. a medical, food, and humanitarian aid worker; and
f. a crew member who joins the vessel in Indonesia.
Temporary Stay Visa is granted for:
a. Work activity which is granted to a foreign worker:
as a professional or expert;
who joins to work on ships, on vessels, or installations operating in the Indonesian maritime zone, territorial sea, continental shelf, and Indonesian Exclusive Economic Zone.
whose job is quality control of goods and products;
who conducts workplace inspections and audit;
whose work with an aftersales service;
who installs and repairs machine;
with a non-permanent work in constructions;
with a probationary period for skilled works.
b. Non-work activity which is granted to a foreigner for:
a foreign investment;
a family reunion; and
retirement travel.
Application for a Visitor and Temporary Stay Visa must bemade by a Sponsor through an online application at the following website address: https://visa-online.imigrasi.go.id/ and complete the application by providing the following requirements:
A health certificate in English declaring negative COVID-19 by a competent authority at their home country.
A declaration letter in English consented to do a mandatory self-isolation or undertake a medical treatment at an accommodation or a designated health facility by the Indonesian Government at the traveller’s own expense when a PCR check upon arrival by the health authority at ports of entry results in a positive with the COVID-19 or with symptoms in accordance with the health protocol and provisions of law and regulations.
A consent letter to be monitored during the quarantine or self-isolation in accordance with the health protocol and provisions of law and regulations.
Health insurance or travel insurance covering medical expenses, and/or a declaration letter of medical treatment at own expenses, if contracted with the COVID-19 during their stay in Indonesia.
In addition to the above-mentioned requirements, a Sponsor must also provide proof of sufficient funds of at least US$ 10,000 to support a visa application which they have sponsored during their stay in Indonesia. Please note that 1 (one) proof should be provided for each applicant.
A Sponsor must complete within 7 (seven) days the visa payment requirements after receiving a billing statement.
Note:
If the visa application has been approved, the Directorate-General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesiawill issue a visa in the form of anelectronic visa (e-Visa) which will be sent to the registered e-mail address of the Sponsor and the applicant.
These provisions apply only to Visitor and Temporary Stay Visa application, while Diplomatic and Service Visa application is still made through the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia.
