Legalisation

Legalisation of Australian documents:

This service is provided by the Embassy for those who need to legalise Australian/ foreign documents to be used in Indonesia.

The Embassy will notarise/ legalise any document(s) only after the document(s) has been notarised/ legalised/ authenticated by notary public and the authentication officer at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Head Office or its State Offices.

After your documents authenticated by the Authentication Office, then proceed to have the documents legalised by the Embassy, either by come personally or by mail.

For those who wish to send the documents by mail, it is important to follow these instructions:

  1. Application by mail should enclose a self-addressed and stamped return envelope, using Express Post or Courier Service.
  2. Applicants should keep the Tracking Numbers of the documents and the return envelope they send to the Embassy.
  3. The Embassy will not be held responsible for documents that lost during delivery process.
  4. Applicants should make sure that they choose the most secure service.
  5. Before you mail the application, please remember that the application must be sent along with the applicant's passport. The Embassy would attach the visa label into the passport.

2. Other documents AUD 35.00

 

Document legalisation fees should be paid by Money Order only payable to Indonesian Embassy.
